Our client develops and markets software that automates the testing of Salesforce.com. They help companies to reduce the time it takes to deliver high-quality, reliable, and error-free deployments and make changes to Salesforce.com. Their innovative suite of products set them apart as the leading testing solution for Salesforce.com. They focus on delivering test automation products that are easily adopted for use by non-technical users, whilst also delivering high value and code flexibility for our developer community.

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of software developers in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from project planning and execution to deployment and maintenance. Your primary goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. You will also be tasked with fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting innovation, and driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:
● Lead and manage software development team, fostering collaboration and growth.
● Plan and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
● Define and implement technical strategy and architecture aligned with business goals.
● Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality products.
● Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements and priorities.
● Allocate resources effectively and manage budget.
● Mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and drive continuous  improvement.

You’ll have:
● A solid academic foundation to degree level or higher.
● 10+ years of software engineering management experience.
● 4+ years experience in managing leads and engineers.
● Proficiency in Java and JavaScript, including modern frameworks.
● Experience with AWS cloud services for scalable applications.
● Backend development skills using Java frameworks like Spring Boot, with a strong focus on System design.
● Frontend development expertise using frameworks like React.js or Angular.
● Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
● Understanding of security best practices and AWS security services.
● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
● Commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies
● Proactive thinking with a ‘can do’ attitude.
● Strong problem-solving skills, should be able to research and understand an undocumented setup and application.
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
