Job description


Job & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, and other site-related supplies.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all incoming and outgoing materials.

Develop and maintain accurate inventory levels, minimizing wastage and ensuring availability of materials for construction projects.

Implement and enforce inventory control measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage.

Coordinate with procurement, project management, and site engineers to ensure materials are delivered on time and according to specifications.

Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification of inventory to ensure accuracy.

Train and supervise store personnel, ensuring proper material handling and adherence to safety protocols.

Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies related to quantity or quality.

Prepare regular reports on stock levels, material usage, and any issues related to inventory management.

Ensure that the store is organized, clean, and safe for employees and materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in store management or inventory control, preferably in the civil or construction sector.

Knowledge of construction materials and their usage in site operations.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills 

Ability to communicate effectively with site personnel, vendors, and other departments.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of material handling and storage best practices.

Proficiency in MS Office, inventory software, and Tally systems.
