Job Responsibilities- 

The Liferay Architect will work closely with internal and customer teams to conceptualize the Solution required and produce the design and architecture of the solution based on Liferay’s reference architecture. The candidate should have strong expertise in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Designing and implementing end-to-end Enterprise solutions that are scalable, performance optimized and reusable leveraging the latest in JAVA / J2EE and Liferay Platform.
The candidates should assist customers in making right decisions and advise management on the latest trends and technologies impacting the Digital Experience Portal space. The candidate should engage with customers to develop and present solution proposals.
This role will also work closely with solution and support teams in identification and rectification of issues impacting the solution performance and bugs that require high order thinking and debugging skills. As a Senior Technical Team(STM) member, the candidate will conduct Audits and Reviews of designs and architecture of Liferay based solutions, participate in and provide guidance on systems integration projects, and will provide guidance for other engineers and support teams on architecture, technical issues, tools and techniques.

Essentials-

1. Experience Required: Overall 8+ years’ experience with 4+ in Liferay implementations using Liferay 7.x/DXP
2. Demonstrable experience in design, architecture and implementation of large scale high availability (HA) digital solutions using Liferay & other Portal Platforms. Experience of mobile devices integrations built into the solutions architecture will be a big plus.
3. Should be able to understand business requirements and translate to information architecture/software development
4. Good experience of Software Architecture design tools such as UML, Enterprise Architect (Very desirable) with proven capability to provide low level design artefacts such as Class Diagrams, Component Diagrams, and Software UML models.
5. Experience in designing and architecting integration solutions for the JAVA/J2EE based enterprise environments with technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, EJB, Embedded Java, J2SE, Java Low Level Security (JAAS, JCE, JSSE).
6. Practical experience in latest frameworks and APIs such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, NodeJS, jQuery, Social Media APIs, Cloud Computing etc.
7. Hands-on expertise in related technologies such as AJAX, XML/XSL, LDAP, SSO(OAuth/SAML/JOSSO), ESB (Mule/Oracle/JBOSS), REST and SOAP Services.
8. Hands-on experience in deployment and configuration of production servers in clustered and HA environments
9. Well versed with performance optimization methodologies and tools. Sound understanding of Agile development process, release management, code coverage tools and quality audits.
10. Good communication and documentation skills
11. Open to travel to UK, US, Africa and other customer locations
